Old Town is an easy walk from the port, no need for a taxi.
Day 3
Provence (Marseille), France
Most excursions head to Aix-en-Provence rather than Marseille itself.
Day 4
Florence/Pisa (La Spezia), Italy
Florence is about 1.5 hours from port. Worth the trip over Pisa unless you just want the tower photo.
Day 5
Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy
The port is about an hour from central Rome, so book a transfer ahead in peak season.
Day 6
Naples, Italy
Pompeii is closer and quicker to reach than most ship excursions suggest. The train works fine.
Day 7
At sea
Cruising
No port today, a relaxed day to enjoy the ship without the crowds.
